Arabic Grammar Urdu (Women) 2020

Program Overview

Allah reveals in Surat Al-Zukh’ruf, ayah 3.

Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur’an that you might understand. (Qur’an, 43:3).

As Allah has chosen Arabic as the language of Quran, it should be the duty of every muslim to embark on the path of learning this glorious language.

Course Objective

The Arabic grammar course is designed to have three goals:

  • To understand the blessed words revealed on our Prophet SAW from Allah in depth. So that students can analyze ayahs in detail.
  • To understand the Ahadith or sayings of our beloved Prophet SAW.
  • To write basic Arabic sentences and read Arabic outside of Quran and Ahadith.

Course Details

The course is designed around the three Madina books written by Dr. V. Abdur Raheem. These books are considered one of the best books to teach Arabic to Nonnative Arabic students. The books start with very basic concepts and build the foundation for the forthcoming more complex topics.

This course will enable the students to understand the grammar (Nahw) and morphology (Sarf) to understand Quran and Ahadith. Thus, ultimately enabling the student to connect to the words first, then phrases and ultimately sentences in the form of Quranic verses and Ahadith.

The students will initially learn the basics of Arabic language that will enable them to construct simple sentences in Arabic and translate them. The teachers will slowly build them to tackle more complex topics. The teachers will also provide additional Quranic verses and Ahadith examples that are not covered in the book.

The course does not start from teaching the alphabets. The students should have basic knowledge of reading and writing Arabic. The students are also expected to complete regular exercises provided at the end of each chapter.

The course is broken in four terms as per the complexity of topics. Exams will be conducted after every term. Successful students in all the four term exams will receive a diploma of completion of course Insha Allah.

May Allah guide us to learn the Quran and Ahadith and taste and relish the language that both of these bodies of guidance came wrapped up in. Ameen.
